random

I had been so busy lately, not that I wasn't ever busy in all my life. Well I had so much things to do but to little time to have them done. Where all the times when I felt so bored doing nothing? And now when I needed more than 24 hrs in a day, everything seems so akin to my so called busy life.
Just a few minutes ago, I've been preparing for my class tomorrow, printing here and there, alas I've done at 3pm which is time for me to head down to my doctor's office for my weekly allergy shots. But before heading out the door, I have to write down the things I have in mind or else it would just blown out of my head and forget I have to update my blog.
Tomorrow would be me first day as a senior student, by the way this is my 3rd time being senior including my high school. I honestly love school, if there's somebody pays me just for attending school I am sure I'll raise my hands in agreement. The only thing I hate about going to school is the early morning rush. Back then when I was taking my first degree, I don't need to get up so early because I picked the subjects that started later in the morning, 9 am start is my ideal time, where I can get out of bed at 7am then head out to school 30 minutes before my classes start. And by the way I have to walk to school. Now that I am taking a 360 degrees turn from my previous degree, I still have to attend my classes at 9 am but I have to leave at least 1.5 hrs ahead for my long commute. My parent s's house is of shorter distance to the university I went back then but the difference is I don't drive my own car. Today I have to hustle the center city traffic to be able to reach my school on time. School is so much fun, a lot of challenges that made me feel a winner after getting in to the finish line. I will be having a very stressful 13 weeks yet very rewarding stress.
Okay so much for now. will keep you all posted when time permits. wish me luck and do pray for me too.

fishing trip @ Long Island, NY

This post is long overdue but I still have to write it here because I believed it is worth sharing.
Last Saturday, Aunt Delia, Uncle Jimmy, Roger & I went out fishing, we left early in the morning. It was over an hour long for a drive, traffic wasn't bad at all. When we arrived at the seashore we walked 45 minutes to the fishing area. As soon as we got there Uncle Jimmy prepared the rods and placed baits for he's the only one who touches those worm-like baits, it looks so eww!
I had couple of unsuccessful tries then I finally got my first catch. Roger did the same too! Aunt Delia caught a lot before we had our first hahahah! We all had fun despite the scorching heat of the sun. My fishing experience was a blast, I'm sure I'll go there next time! My father would surely enjoy it himself, unfortunately he doesn't want to come here even for a visit. I'm hopping that in time he'll consider coming to our place.

We maybe poor back home but we didn't go out fishing for livelihood. That's my exact excuse for being a lousy fisher hahahah!

Roger's first catch after notoriously catching seaweeds.

fish anyone?

I am sad

I haven't been blogging for days, its not that I am busy but I just don't feel too good at all. I have so many things running in mind. I feel so exhausted with all the things came in together and I am not prepared in all those.
I felt sad at the same time disappointed. I knew whatever I am feeling right now will not stay forever rather a phase in my life that needs a lot of discernment and hopefully things will take into the right place the way it should be.
In time I'll just keep myself mum until I'm ready to deal with it without reservation.

"The greatest football team"

My husband is a true blooded college football addict. He supports ARMY, love the team and the people at West Point in general. I too had a number of good friends from the academy. I admit I learn to appreciate their love for football, it is like religion to them. Although Army is no longer on the list of top performing teams, yet they call the team the greatest. Unlike other colleges and universities their players are not obliged to do drills, morning routines includes jogging the mountains and everything associated with the military life. They also have to maintain certain grade which is really tough to accomplish with their nature in the academy.

As a season ticket holder "A Club", we enjoyed the perks they offered to their loyal supporters. About 3 days ago we got our parking pass, the same spot we had last year. It is very close to the stadium. Next time I'll take pictures of the exact location to justify my observation with respect to its vicinity.
My husband is so excited for the football season, as a matter of fact we already booked a hotel for our numerous trips, hopefully my schedule will work good for all those games we'll about to see.

shopping with Joanne

Joanne and I went out shopping yesterday. It was the longest time we went out yet we weren't able to see all the stores we planned to shop. The place was humongous! The parking was 4 city blocks away!

Our first stop was @ Nike store, where Joanne bought a pair of sneakers for work. The next stop was @ Coach store, a famous name brand bags and accessories store. We stayed at the store for a long time, she bought a purse with matching wallet while I bought a wallet that matches my purse I had from the previous week's trip. Then we hit to the nearest mickey d for our lunch. I was so hungry, I was able eat my entire order and the soft drink to boost. Usually I can't finish an entire meal but for yesterday I did it and Joanne did it too! We really looked like starving cows!

After our lunch we went to another shoe store where I bought a cushioned flip-flop because my feet hurts so bad from the long walk we had. We also went to BCBG - a famous women's clothing line. We went nuts trying out their nice clothes, I bought a nice pair of dress while Joanne bought several stuffs too.

We also went to couple shoe stores and other boutiques which we bought few items from them and we headed home at around 8pm. We went home broke with lots of stuff loaded in the trunk. I had a great time shopping. I must say I am a certified shopaholic with Joanne in tow!

Back to School Shopping

In few weeks, my vacation is over! It is time again to go back to school and concentrate on my studies. This will be my last year in school and I hope I can pass all the subjects with flying colors once again.

As I am preparing to go back to school, I have to go shopping for my school needs which include a sturdy backpack for all my books and my laptop computer. There are numerous books that I need to bring to school everyday, thus I need a high quality backpack that will lasts until the end of the school term. I also need to shop for new clothes. I do not want to be out of fashion so I need to buy new tank tops that are "in" in the fashion world.

I am glad that I found a website that sells all the things that I need before I go back to school. Zappos.com is a wonderful place to shop because they have high quality and branded products at a price that will not hurt my budget. I am excited to shop at Zappos.com especially that they offer free shipping.

lizard eye again?

I am sick the past two days due to the boil I had in my underarm. I went to my doctor yesterday to consult about my condition and she prescribed bactrim for it. I don't know if this would really work, but I am desperate so I have to take these pills religiously, as much as I don't like taking any pill. After seeing my primary physician, I went straight to my allergy doctor for my weekly allergy shots. The injection site turned purple, which is very unusual reaction. I had to stay for 15 minutes to make sure I am not having an adverse reaction. So far, I didn't feel anything different other than the burning sensation, I just told the nurse, she must have hit a vein that's why it turned purple.
When I came home I had a terrible headache, I just took ibuprofen then I dozed off. Until now I still have slight fever and painful "lizard eye" enough reason to stay in bed longer than I used to. Roger told me to just stay for he knew how hard it is to deal the pain from the lizard eye, he himself had couple of times. Later in the morning FIL was so anxious because he thought no body will drive him to his doctor's appointment, I had enough drama in his life to be honest with. I told Roger to call his brother and ask him to drive FIL to the doctor's office, at first they argued, eventually he agreed to take FIL to his appointment. Had his brother not came I would be forced to get out of bed and hit the road.
I realized that Roger's family is one hell of a lousy/lazy people, they are too quick to relinquish their responsibilities, and it's so easy for them to point fingers for blame yet they don't look at themselves that they're the once who did nothing good for his father. I don't want to count how much time I devote to FIL, but now that I am sick, at least have the decency to be mindful to my needs, I won't delegate anything to them if I can. They thought I owed so much from them especially to his father, the sad fact is I didn't get any compensation from them, not that I want one. As if I don't know he owed so much from his father. It really made me pissed!
