I knew I needed to www.domainnames.com choices with my husband's brother who was doing our graphic design, but I just couldn't decide what I wanted our URL to be. The implications of such a decision were mind-boggling to me, and I was terrified that I would make the wrong choice! Finally, I convinced my husband to sit down with me and develop an overall marketing plan, which eventually steered our website in the direction it needed to go. My brother-in-law was certainly happy that he could finally start designing and stop discussing options! Our business is very customer focused, so I wanted to make sure the website and interface were very easy to use, even by computer novices. Since many of our best clients are elderly, is hugely important that we don't shut them out of the buying process by creating a website that's over their heads. Thankfully, Mark understood this and developed a website for us that was so easy, even I could use it! And that's saying a lot!

Father's Day Celebration

As I have mentioned before, we have had a pool party @ Bob and Joanne's. It was fun filled weekend. Everyone had a blast! We had sooo much food that made me think twice whether I have to dig in every single thing but decided to just get few bites of each. I still kept my diet plan despite of the many goodies.

One thing I am sure about American people is their love for sweets. I know that because I married one!  To make the boys' taste buds more satiating I got two different cakes for the occasion.

I also ordered vanilla butter cream cake with the Happy Father's Day prints in it.

 

Back in the Philippines, when I was growing up I didn't have any idea about father's day celebration nor anyone introduced to us, until I moved here in the US. I think commercialism and greeting card manufacturers made the whole thing a big of a deal. We'll I don't mind, its another reason to celebrate and enjoy the occasion with friends.

Days Off

I have never thought that having a career can be so tiring.  I mean, I was so bored when I didn't have work yet that I can't wait to get a job.  Now that I am working I can't wait for my days off.  Sometimes I still get calls to work even on my days off.

Anyway, on my long stretch of off days, I see to it that I spend a day of cleaning.  Yes, I can pride myself that I maintain a clean house and it irritates me when the house looks a mess.  I am just thankful that our living room and kitchen area is already made of hard wood.  All I just need to do a lot of cleaning are the bedrooms which are still carpeted.  When I am so tired from work, I often wish that somebody from the likes of professional carpet cleaning companies austin can do the cleaning on my behalf.  I also wish that I have more energy to do the cleaning in just a wink of an eye.

I guess I should just be thankful that I have a job that pays good and even if I have to do my usual wifely duties at home, I am still lucky as my hubby always offers help in doing those works.  I guess it will be a lot more work if our place is made of marble tiles.  If you have pets at home, you should check out http://www.thesteamteam.com/pet-odor-treatment.shtml and try them and see if it will help you have an odor-free place.

Busy Week Ahead

This coming week is busy for me because my schedule is filled with work hours, I needed to work as much time as I can so I can save up for the rainy days and of course for other expenses. I am also saving for our scheduled Philippine vacation early next year. I've already saved up for our airfare, all I have to worry is our pocket money and some other expenses for my parents' golden wedding anniversary, to which I believed I'll be the one who will shoulder most of the things we needed for the big event. When I said big event it is really big in Philippine culture and a lot bigger by American standard, but of course when it comes to dollar value it would be a lot cheaper. I can't wait for that day!

summer fun means...

I invited friends for a pool party at our friend Joanne & Bob's place. I knew its not my place but I just want to be silly making the invites on facebook since everyone I knew has its own profile on the said social network. The party will be on the 19th of this month, its a day before my husband's birthday and... my Sunday off from work. Sweet! Bob and Roger planned this to be honest with everyone, I was joking to my husband why him and Bob made up plans without me and Joanne being consulted first. He was laughing when I told him about it. I even told him what if me and Joanne have our plans (read: shopping)? He said to me, come on don't jinx my enjoyment! I then replied, how about my enjoyment? LOL! Joanne overheard their conversation when Roger said to Bob, " I think my wife will be working on that day, but we can make it, she can tell her work to just stay till 3pm." Holy cow, I told him, what if I decided to stay extra few hours? He said, you can call in sick the night before right? LOL, so all along he already made his plans! Well anyway I already made arrangement for his birthday weekend so nothing really is on our way aside from my silliness!
