This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
As a consumer, I have been very saddened with the news that Walgreens and Express Script’ pharmacy provider network have ended their business partnership. I have always been reliant to Walgreens when it comes to affordable medicines and I love their deals and that I can save on my groceries and even in their register rewards program. Now that Walgreens is no longer in the network of providers, many customers find themselves changing pharmacists and driving farther just to get their prescriptions. This is also causing inconvenience not only among the ordinary citizens but also with the country’s troops. The most affected in this transition are those patients with certain prescription insurance plans managed by Express Scripts.
But thankfully, Walgreens is doing things to ease the burden brought about by this sad news. They are doing all it can to help patients continue to use Walgreens. To minimize the disruption, Walgreens is offering a special discount on it annual membership for its Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. For $5 for individual membership and $10 for family memberships, discounts are given to more than 8000 brand names and generic medications. Walgreens also offers 24-hour drive thru pharmacy all over the country. I am in full support of Walgreens efforts and you can do too by liking Walgreens on Facebook and following Walgreens on Twitter.
